Phuket Town
Phuket Island just like a person has its heart. The heart is as it is supposed to be located on the left side. It is a special place with its unique rhythm, its own characteristics, and its own temper. You should definitely get to know it better.
Many tourists are intimidated that the city has a lot of one-way streets, but traffic is slow, typical to Thai cities. There are plenty of good informative signs and clear street signs that will allow you to quickly find your way around the city.
Now Phuket is a resort area, with its essential parts and trappings – beaches, shops, massage parlors, night bars, bargaining with taxi drivers and everything else. And all these has a past, a beautiful past, where different religions and nationalities were mixed, where there were wars and celebrations, where manual labor prevailed, where the clock on the city tower was a real attraction.
The city is like a museum that can tell you how people used to live work and spend their free time. Have a seat at one of the numerous local eateries and regulars will be happy to share with you some interesting tales.

This is the best ladyboy cabaret in Phuket entertaining visitors from around the world since 1991. The show is one hour long colorful musical spectacle with great costumes, exceptional stage sets, and unconventional actors.
Photography is not allowed during the performance in the theater. But don’t worry. You will have your chance to get a picture taken with one of the “girls” for a fee to amaze your friends back at home. After the show, all the participants line up for a photo shoot. Even up close you won’t be able to tell the difference. Any male features have been erased by skillful plastic surgeons and make-up artists.
Directions: from Patong head toward Karon. It located on the right before the road starts climbing the hill.

Fantasia is a big entertainment park that includes a theater where the show is performed, a restaurant offering a buffet dinner and a beautiful village.
The show tells a legend, where the Prince on a sacred elephant rescues his Princess from hands of Demons. The performance takes place not only on stage, but all around the theater with elephants walking through the audience, and aerial acrobats flying over spectators’ heads.
Theater Gold seats will give you the best view of the show.
Buffet dinner is served in a large dining room, featuring South East Asian and Japanese food with Thai sweets for dessert. Optionally, you can order a VIP dinner with seafood.
The village consists of various pavilions: a games pavilion, a zoo, where animals are kept in unusual rooms instead of cages; a pavilion where you can take pictures in national costumes, etc.
Directions: from Kamala beach head North toward Surin beach, it is easy to find.
! It is a good idea to come here by 18.00 then you can have the dinner and have enough time to walk around the park before the show starts at 21.00.

This is an interesting attraction for both adults and kids. It takes a few minutes for your brain to get used to the inverted interior and to understand how to take pictures. You will need to take a picture and rotate your camera so it looks like you are on the ceiling. Everything in the house is upside down not only furniture and objects but also signs and labels.
There is a garden maze behind the house with free WiFi.

Come to explore and enjoy a diverse world of birds gathered in this park from different corners of the world. The fascinating birds’ show will appeal to children as well as adults.
For an additional fee, you can get your picture taken with exotic birds. Some of the birds are so rare that you’ve probably never even heard of them.

Aquarium presents a great opportunity to see many inhabitants of the local waters. They can be observed in water tanks and in the underwater tunnel.
Brochures with a map of the Park are available at the entrance. There are a lot of tropical fishes in the main building: piranhas, clown fish (Nemo), groupers that reach 300 kg, etc. Behind the main building, there is a footpath along the coast that leads to a pier, Museum of whales and dolphins, as well as a pool with the turtles. There are a lot of signs with very interesting facts posted along the path. For example, you can learn how to use fruits of some coastal trees for medical purposes. Or do you know that Styrofoam used for food packaging takes 500 000 years to decompose?
! Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 11.30 am you can witness underwater feeding of sharks and stingrays.
Directions: it is located in the South-East part of the island, at the end of Cape Panwa. There is only one road leading to the Aquarium so you won’t miss it.

The zoo has quite a lot of animals, including tigers, birds, fishes. There are even sculptures of dinosaurs. The entrance fee includes visits to a monkey show, an elephant and a crocodile shows. For an additional fee, you can get your picture taken with a tiger, a chimpanzee or a Python.

If you would like to see all three shows it is best to come at 9.00, 12.00 or 14.30. It takes about 2.5 hours to see all.
Directions: from Chalong roundabout head toward Phuket Town on highway 4021 (it is the closest to the sea). At the first traffic light turn right.
